Jack works closely with educators around Australia in service of equity and wellbeing with people, schools, and communities. As a teacher, he specialised in working with young people and families new to Australia and learning English as an additional language.
In his approach to teaching and facilitation, Jack seeks to be relational and compassionate. His research and writing integrates insights from a variety of areas, including educational research, trauma-informed practice, wellbeing science, ecology, and systems change. He also draws on his experience working across public service and social innovation organisations, and holds qualifications in teaching, public policy, international relations and languages.
While currently residing on Wurundjeri country in inner-city Melbourne, Jack grew up mostly barefoot and outside on Turrbal/Jagera country, in the urban fringe of Brisbane.
