Melinda Atkinson

Melinda has over 23 years teaching experience in both classroom and educational leadership roles in a variety of settings, including multi-campus and remote schools. She has delivered wellbeing programs to students and has worked with a variety of Australian and International organisations to train both education and non-education professionals in the delivery of mental health and wellbeing initiatives.

Melinda has a proactive strengths-based approach to teaching and learning and is passionate about supporting teachers to support students. She believes that the Berry Street Education Model gives teachers the tools to support all students with universal strategies grounded in trauma-informed practice and positive education.

Melinda hopes that through Berry Street Education Model, she can empower educators to feel energised in their practice and confident in their ability to support all students to thrive at school and their lives beyond.
