Michael has extensive experience in education, health promotion and community development. He has a passion for equity in education and the practical application of neuroscience and positive psychology in schools.
Michael has worked with students with a disability and taught English to speakers of other languages in Spain and Scotland. His Masters focused on mental health promotion in schools taking him to Queensland in 2002. Here he worked with primary and secondary school communities and universities on resilience, mental health and wellbeing.
As an immigrant to a country with a population rich and diverse in its cultural origins, Michael has become increasingly convinced that exploring authentic connection to community and nature is critical to a healthy education.
