Phil brings over 20 years of extensive experience in education in both teaching and school leadership roles across multiple states and schools. With a focus on belonging, innovation and empathy, Phil has inspired both students and colleagues through his whole-school leadership. As a former Associate Principal, Head of Senior School, student wellbeing leader, boarding housemaster, instructional coach, and co-curricular activities leader, Phil has been instrumental in fostering a range of nurturing and inclusive environments, dedicated to the holistic development of young people.
Phil's commitment to student wellbeing is underpinned by his passion for the Berry Street Education Model, a framework he champions for its trauma-informed, strengths-based and positive education strategies. His approach is centred on empowering educators with the tools necessary to support all young people, enhancing their resilience and academic success.
Additionally, Phil is an aspiring author, currently working on a young adult novel. His dedication to learning and wellbeing continues to drive his contributions in education, aiming to create thriving communities where every young person can flourish.
