ABC Giving Tree Appeal
All around Victoria, there are children and families affected by violence and abuse, who really need our help this Christmas. Children like six year old Ben, who together with his mum and sister, have been living in their car to escape family violence. Ben is worried that Santa won’t know where to find them this year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do the gifts go?
All of the gifts listed online are actual gifts that our staff and carers will purchase and deliver on your behalf to children, young people and families in need of a helping hand this Christmas.
The gifts are distributed to children, young people and families supported by Berry Street and our regional Giving Tree Appeal partners across Victoria.
How is the Giving Tree Appeal different this year?
This Christmas we are asking supporters to choose a gift online, which will allow our staff and carers to purchase personalised gifts for children, young people and families who have been affected by violence and abuse.
Personalised gifts for these children and young people are so important in terms of making them feel special and loved, and for many of them, the gift they receive from Berry Street may be the only one they receive this Christmas.
By purchasing a gift online, you ensure that our staff and carers can match gifts to the specific needs and Christmas wishes of the children, young people and families who need our help.
Can I donate a physical gift that I have bought myself?
If you would prefer to purchase a gift, you can deliver your gift to any ABC Local Radio station, selected Berry Street offices or the offices of our ABC Giving Tree Appeal partners. For more information, visit the ABC website at www.abc.net.au/melbourne
