Strengthening Student Mental Health and Wellbeing with the Berry Street Education Model

The Schools Mental Health Menu is a list of endorsed, evidence-based programs that support Victorian government schools to better meet their student’s mental health and wellbeing needs. Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) can be found on the menu here.
Eligible schools now have government funding from the Schools Mental Health Fund to purchase BSEM from the menu. Enquire now to discuss BSEM training options for your school.
Why schools choose BSEM
Evidence-informed practice
Built on over a decade of Berry Street’s longitudinal research exploring advances in trauma-informed education, wellbeing, positive education, and the sciences of learning.
Student-centered strategies
Provide teachers, leaders, and allied education professionals with a practical toolkit to build safer classrooms where learning and wellbeing are prioritised as essential for growth and achievement.
Whole-school approach
Ensure school-wide consistency, fostering a shared approach for sustainable BSEM implementation.
Proven impact
Over 80,000 educators trained, driving positive outcomes in engagement and academic growth, student and staff wellbeing, and school culture.
The Berry Street Education Model is the foundation of all our work at Doveton College. We are seeing calm and orderly learning environments, and improvements in student motivation, classroom behaviour, self-regulation and goal setting.
