Our Work Providing a Safe Home - Foster Care

Accredited foster and kinship carers provide care for children and young people when they can’t live safely at home. They provide a secure and safe environment for children who have suffered serious child abuse, neglect and family violence. 

Our Work Providing a Safe Home - Residential Care

Residential care provides accommodation and support for children and young people when they can’t live safely at home. Children live in residential units and are cared for 24 hours a day by Berry Street staff. Up to 4 children live in each residential unit.

Our Work Developing Life Skills for Young people - Leaving Care

As a major provider of Out of Home Care services across Victoria, Berry Street actively supports young people when they leave the protection and care system. Our Leaving Care program assists young people to acquire suitable accommodation, develop independent living skills and build community networks.

Our Work Providing a Safe Home - Lead Tenant

Lead Tenant

The Lead Tenant Program helps 16-18 year olds transition into independent living. A Berry Street staff member lives with a small household of up to two young people. They provide a secure and caring home to support young people expand their life skills and experience.
