On 14 November, the Berry Street School proudly launched our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). All students and staff virtually joined our launch. We were also joined by families, staff from Berry Street, community members across the four Traditional lands where our School sits, and Aunty Janet, who gave a beautiful Welcome to Country.
The Berry Street School was proud to showcase our student leaders, who participated in leading the event. Special thanks to our students Brodie, Connor, Tyrell, Isabelle, Noah and Jhett who emceed or led different activities on the launch day and Ash who designed the artwork for our t-Shirts. We are grateful for the support of Joanne Alford, Sarah Dawson, and Michael Perusco during our launch. For the past two years, the RAP PLC focused on this work and we are also grateful for their vision and collaboration. We look forward to building reconciliation by focusing on relationships, respect and opportunities in our classrooms, school, and communities.
