Richard is a leading expert on Therapeutic Life Story Work and working with 'hard to reach' children and young people.

Overview

Therapeutic Life Story Work enables children and young people who have experienced the trauma of child abuse and neglect to reflect on their past, develop compassion for themselves and begin healing. Learn about this defined approach which supports the child to make significant changes, as a result of a far deeper understanding and awareness of how their history has been negatively impacting on their present.

Attendees will need to bring to the training coloured markers, paper and a note pad.

  • techniques for producing the Life Story book

Who should attend?

Life Story Therapy will greatly benefit all those working with children affected by early life trauma including: those working with children in care; teachers; youth workers; therapists; and those who are involved in recovery work with children and families in need.

Payment must be made by credit card at the time of registration (VISA and Mastercard will be accepted). Your registration will not be confirmed unless payment has been processed.

A confirmation/tax invoice will be issued upon registration to your nominated email address.

A full refund will be issued for cancellations up until 3 working days prior to the webinar. No refunds will be issued after this date however substitutions are welcome.

Should Berry Street cancel a webinar for any reason, those registered at this time will be entitled to a full refund of registration fees.

Richards perspectives and the tools for effective communication with traumatised youths and children was enlightening. He delivered information in a simple and clear manner. Richard created an overall relaxed, connected, and interactive learning environment.
