The Gathering Place (TGP) is a community centre based in Morwell, Gippsland.

TGP provides a space for individuals and families in the local community to come together to learn, share and celebrate culture. TGP is an inclusive and culturally safe place that promotes and supports self-determination.

Volunteers help run the centre and create a comfortable and culturally safe environment for youth, Elders, workers and the community.

Activities

The Gathering Place runs community led programs which strengthen and support the wellbeing of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in the LaTrobe Valley.

Foodbank Victoria partnership

The Gathering Place has an ongoing partnership with Foodbank Victoria. With their help, we can provide food parcels to local people who need support.
