The Good Guys and Berry Street Partnership
Since 2016, The Good Guys has partnered with Berry Street and raised $200,000 through their matched workplace giving program to create impactful change for the children, young people, and families we work with.
Every day, we help families live better for less and find great products to make a house feel like a home. We are so proud to support Berry Street and the women and families they support every day, especially when they are at risk of family violence. We invite you to join us and give to the Berry Street Mother’s Day campaign. and know you will be supporting women and children at risk of family violence. Every woman deserves to feel safe at home.
Berry Street and the Good Guys Mother’s Day Campaign
In May, 2024, the Good Guys and Berry Street expanded their partnership by delivering a joint national campaign to customers to help raise funds and awareness for family violence in Australia, helping to support Berry Street in its effort to address family violence among the 30,000 service-users it helps each year.
The Good Guys generously committed $2,000 to help kickstart the Berry Street and Good Guys Mother’s Day campaign, which assisted more than 2,700 mothers and children that Berry Street worked alongside each year.
Berry Street staff educated the Good Guys’ staff by presenting to over 500 of their colleagues on the signs of family violence, definitions of coercive control, and highlighted available services for any staff members witnessing or experiencing family violence.
Any donation made during the campaign helped to ensure that every person experiencing family violence can easily access support and safety. Through Berry Street’s free specialist family violence services, children and their caregivers can sense of the trauma they have experienced, so they can recover and feel safe again.
On behalf of Berry Street, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Good Guys for their advocacy, awareness-raising, and financial support. Your contributions enable us to continue addressing family violence in Australia through programs focused on early intervention and the safe rebuilding of victim-survivors’ lives.
