Adam's story
Adam Dunn started with Berry Street over 5 years ago working in the Residential Care Program. He’s now the Clinical Team Leader for the Aboriginal Team as part of Take Two, which offers intensive therapeutic services.
Adam works with children in out-of-home care who are often experiencing significant trauma related to issues such as family violence, sexual abuse, and drug and alcohol issues. He supports them and their families.
Adam describes the culture at Berry Street as supportive, caring and understanding. He says this working environment is a key factor in why he’s stayed here so long: “Through your own life’s ups and downs, and issues at work, you feel really well held. The wrap-around support for staff is great.”
Adam embodies Berry Street’s value of Working Together:
Everyone is wrapped around achieving the best possible outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families. It makes me feel really proud to work at Berry Street.
Every day, staff members like Adam are making a difference in the lives of the people we work alongside.
