Simone Kapaun

A Teach for Australia alumni holding a Masters of Teaching (Secondary), Simone comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and a career in education spanning primary and secondary education, from regional Victoria through to the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Simone completed the Berry Street Education Model training in 2017 and has embedded it in her teaching practice across the different contexts.

Simone has held a variety of roles at each of the schools she has worked, including classroom teaching positions for years 7-12, Year Level Coordinator roles and as Head of Department. Prior to completing her Masters, Simone was a teacher’s aide and instrumental music teacher in Primary Schools across Melbourne.

In addition to her Masters of Teaching and experience in leadership development, Simone also holds a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary), developed and ran a song writing music camp for regional students, and was nominated for Aria Music Teacher of the Year Award in 2018.
